The largest nature park in North Rhine-Westphalia encompasses Wesel in the west.

Not least because the over 150 km long hiking trail across the nature park begins (or ends) at our Rhine promenade. In addition to the Hohe Mark Steig, the Lower Rhine-Westphalian natural landscape also attracts hikers on numerous LandStreifer circular trails and shorter, family-friendly walks. 

For those who prefer cycling to walking, the 280 km Hohe Mark cycle route is a great alternative.
