Aaper Woods

The „Aaper Woods“ in Obrighoven stretches out from the Lippe harbour.

Five circular hiking trails of varying lengths offer ideal hiking opportunities to explore the landscape north of the Lippe in the „Drevenacker Dunes“ nature reserve.

The trails, which are labelled A1 to A5 by the Sauerland Mountain Club, can also be combined with each other - depending on your mood and mood of the day! 

All routes start in Wesel-Obrighoven at the car park, Am Reitplatz 9 in 46485 Wesel.

By the way: The name "Aaper" probably comes from the old Germanic "apa", which means forest by the water!
