Rhine Cycle Route

A particularly attractive section of the well-developed and cycle-friendly Rhine Cycle Route runs through our county North Rhine-Westphalia.

Father Rhine, one of the most important rivers in the heart of Europe, is an absolute classic as a long-distance cycle tour. With a total length of 1,233 kilometres, it runs through four countries. And discovering this river with its different facets, cultural and natural areas by bike is a very special experience.

And of course, the route also leads through our beautiful Lower Rhine region and right through the centre of our Hanseatic city of Wesel. Depending on your mood, time and fitness level, you can cycle different routes. The numerous bridges and ferries connect both sides and allow you to plan your own route with beautiful changes in perspective.
