Crossing the Lippe with muscle power

A very special ferry service has been set up on the River Lippe in Wesel: The passenger and bicycle self-service ferry "Quertreiber" allows up to six people, including bicycles, to pull themselves across the river using their own muscle power. Numerous cycling and hiking routes can be organised in a very varied way thanks to this offer. It connects the Romar-Lippe-Route and the Rhine-Lippe-Route, among others.

The crossing driver can be used during daylight hours from mid-April to mid-October.

Access from the north is via RWE-Straße (46485 Wesel), from the south via Heikes Berg (46485 Wesel).
